As part of our ongoing collaboration with The Cranbrook Academy of Art's Metals Department, we are honored to host an installation by jewelry artist Edgar Mosa, who holds his Master of Fine Arts from Cranbrook. Born in Lisbon, Portugal and trained as a goldsmith at the age of 14, he now resides in New York City where, as it reads in his bio,"his studio has become a secret hideout for underground stars, designers, and artists of all types".
Mosa's pieces are large, some massive, and organically stunning. The installation for Orleans + Winder holds a series of various sized wood pieces "woven" together to create a circle reminiscent of a crown. It will be on display through February 2016.
